Bryant Goldstone OK After Rolling His 1973 AMC Javelin at HOT ROD Drag Week 2021

Drag racing is a dangerous sport, and we’re sometimes reminded of that in staggering fashion. On his last pass, HOT ROD Drag Week veteran Bryant Goldstone crashed after coming out of the groove after the 1/8-mile mark at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park. We are relieved to report that Bryant is OK and was already getting out of his 1973 AMC Javelin under his own power when the EMTs arrived on scene seconds later.

Bryant did not need  to go to the hospital and, other than a cut on his finger, he tells us he’s doing fine—just disappointed about the accident. He told us he thinks there might have been some water mist that caused his right rear tire to lose traction, ultimately putting him into the wall and rolling onto his roof.

Bryant has won his class at Drag Week three times previously in Ultimate Iron and has since moved up to the Unlimited class in his  Javelin and was on his way to second place for 2021, trailing Dave Schroeder in his new C7 Pro Mod Corvette.
