Next-gen Mahindra Scorpio spotted off-road testing

The next-gen Scorpio is likely to get a rotary dial with four off-road drive mode settings.

The next-generation Mahindra Scorpio has been spotted undergoing off-road tests in Ladakh.

The upcoming Scorpio was seen driving down a steep dirt track somewhere near Leh. In the video, you can see the car rolling down the incline towards a group of people. One of them appears to be recording a video.

The new Scorpio is likely to be offered with a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 158 BHP. The engine could be paired with either a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission.

Like the XUV700, Mahindra is expected to offer all-wheel drive in select variants of the Scorpio. It will even get off-road drive modes that can be selected using a rotary dial positioned on the centre console.
