American Queen Voyages has created a 23-day, 1,700-plus-mile sailing from Minneapolis to Pittsburgh on the Mississippi and Ohio rivers, the longest itinerary it has ever offered.
The Grand Ohio & Upper Mississippi Rivers cruise will debut on July 24, 2023, aboard the 245-passenger American Countess and will offer a reverse sailing from Pittsburgh on Aug. 14.
Guests will pass through 10 states and have access to a number of excursions, among them a visit to the baseball field from the 1982 movie “Field of Dreams” in Iowa; a visit to the National Quilt Museum in Kentucky and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis; and a scenic jet boat ride in Indianapolis. Bookings for this itinerary also include a one-night precruise hotel stay and unlimited guided tours.
Rates for the sailing start at $6,400. To book, visit the American Queen Voyages website.
