A stash of ammunition believed to be planned for use in the failed assassination attempt of Putin-loving Russian politician Kazhar Prilepin has been found near the Russian President's Kremlin base.
Zakhar Prilepin was reportedly badly hurt but “still conscious” after the explosion on a remote road in the Nizhny Novgorod region last week.
He claimed that he broke both legs in the failed double car bombing, however Prilepin’s driver was declared dead at the scene.

He said: “I lost consciousness for three minutes or so, then woke up and crawled out the broken wind-shield.
“Villagers ran up and helped me get out.
“I broke both my legs – one is an open fracture – and got another injury."
He also confirmed that the person responsible was caught, but also claimed that another bomb should have gone off but the person with that bomb “got scared and ran off”.
Because of Prilepin’s close association with Putin and the invasion of Ukraine, suspicion has fallen on pro-Ukrainian forces working within Russia for the attack.

Vladimir Putin will 'put a stop' to Wagner boss who branded him an 'a***hole'
One man, Alexander Permyakov, has been arrested and charged with the illegal storing of explosives by and organised group and committing a terrorist attack.
Kremlin officials are still searching for the accomplices, anti-Kremlin Russian news outlet Meduza reports.
Prilepin confirmed that he saw one other person involved.
He said: “They told me there were two bombs, but this guy got scared and ran off immediately after the first went off,” he recalled.
“If the second had exploded, he would have killed everyone. They caught him. Thanks to everyone who prayed, because it was still impossible to survive with such an explosion.”
