Derek Chauvin has been found guilty on all three charges of murder and manslaughter in the killing of George Floyd. Footage from outside the Minneapolis courthouse where the trial took place shows the street filled with people gathered to celebrate the verdict. Drivers reportedly abandoned their cars to join in the celebrations as a Sky News reporter on the ground said the city had “erupted” following the decision.

Commenting on the scenes from outside the courthouse, a Sky News reporter said: “People have stopped their cars to get out.

“You might be able to hear their horns.

“You can just hear the noise.

“The whole city has erupted.”
