Friday will be Denver’s lone break from the heat in the coming days. A front moved in Thursday night, bringing cooler temperatures, but Friday could still be at or above average for this time of year.
According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver will top out at 82 degrees on Friday with a low of 56 mph as winds howl to 20 mph overnight.
Saturday should jump back into the 90s, which would be the Mile High City’s sixth day in the 90s this year, all coming in the last 10 days. Winds will gust near 20 mph in the afternoon and into the evening as temperatures cool to 62 degrees.
There’s a chance for a thunderstorm or two later in the day Sunday with 96-degree heat under the sun and a low of 63.
Next week could begin in the triple digits with multiple days projected as having the chance to top 100.
