Harry and Meghan to be regally snubbed by Kate and Wills on US visit – expert

Prince William and Kate Middleton will opt not to make time for a meet-up with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they visit the US for the second Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony later this year, a royal commentator has claimed.

The first annual celebration of the Earthshot awards – a royally-backed initiative that rewards new climate strategies – took place in London in October last year.

At the end of the ceremony, the Duke of Cambridge announced that the next event would take place in the US, raising speculation about whether Kate and Wills might use the opportunity to see Harry and Meghan in their Californian home.

But, after there appeared to be no reconciliation between the brothers at the Queen’s Jubilee, royal commentator Neil Sean has suggested that their ongoing feud means a US meet-up is unlikely.

“Very soon there will be the dates announced for the planned visit to the United States of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Katherine,” he told viewers of his YouTube channel.

“Apparently when they go over to the United States, there’s a lot of hype over there about how apparently they’re going to be meeting up with Meghan and Prince Harry.”

Harry and Meghan have made California their home since leaving royal duties, so the royal commentator acknowledged that the trip would offer the “ideal situation” for the so-called Fab Four to meet up again.

But despite suggesting that it would be easier for the Cambridges to avoid a media storm while in the US, Neil admitted that the couple had decided against seeing the Sussexes.

“According to the very good source that I have regarding William and Katherine, that sadly will not be possible, they’re planning a packed schedule with no private time for visits or downtime, very nice and regally put," he said.

“This really all centres upon the fact that William is finding it very hard to move on from all those allegations that Prince Harry put out about him and his family via the Oprah Winfrey interview.

“And furthermore, the latest harrowing and very difficult situation that Harry is placing upon the Royal household with his continued battle for security in the British High Court.”

And, despite rumours that Kate has attempted to engineer a reunion for William’s 40th birthday, Neil suggested that the future King will be the one to decide whether to rebuild his relationship with the ex-royals.

“It does seem strange, doesn’t it that these two brothers who were once so close, have fallen out seemingly over a couple of bits and pieces that have escalated so much," he added.

“As I’ve said before, Katherine’s a very gracious, forgiving and kind person, but even she can’t push it forward; it really would have to come from Prince William.”
