Horror as huge gas pipe explodes on tanker truck sending wild flames into air

A huge fireball has been seen for miles around after a gas pipe on a tanker exploded near the city of Tultepec, Mexico.

So far it is unknown how many people have been injured in the blast, which took place around 9pm local time (3am UK).

One witness video, taken from a nearby motorway, shows emergency vehicles racing towards the flames, which are seen rising high into the night sky.

Reports on Twitter say that firefighters from the nearby towns of Coacalco, Ecatepec, Jaltenco, Melchor Ocampo and Tultepec joined forces to tackle the blaze.
