The southbound lanes of Interstate 25 have reopened to traffic after a tanker truck rolled over in the northbound lanes of the interstate in Thornton.
The interstate was closed in both directions at 84th Avenue, the Thornton Police Department said on Twitter, as the crash happened under the 84th Avenue overpass, but the department announced at 6:50 a.m. the south lanes have reopened.
The northbound on-ramp to I-25 from 84th Avenue is now open too, the police department tweeted about 6 a.m.
The tanker driver was taken to a hospital with minor injures, the Adams County Fire Department tweeted. The crash did not cause any damage to the 84th Avenue bridge, Thornton police said.
