Incest mum who sexually abused girl, 5, in bath admits more child sex charges

An incestuous mum who was jailed for 155 years for sexually abusing a five year-old girl in a bath has admitted further child sex charges.

Elizabeth Haway, 43, was convicted of seven sexual assault charges and incest in December 2019 at a court in West Virginia, US.

She was sentenced to 155 years for her crimes, and pleaded guilty to further sex charges after police discovered she sent clips of abuse to Facebook paedophile Randall Peggs.

Peggs and Haway first began chatting on social media in November 2018 when Haway shared her desire to sexually abuse the girl.

Haway then recorded herself doing so and sent the video to Peggs in February 2019 using Facebook Messenger.

In April 2019, The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children flagged the material to Mercer County Sheriff’s Office in West Virginia.

Detective Sergeant Steve Sommers watched one clip of an unidentified man sexually abusing a pre-pubescent girl and obtained a search warrant for Haway's Facebook account.

Sergeant Sommers said he found two clips of Haway sexually abusing a little girl and estimated the "child to be between 5 and 6 years of age".

He said he also observed a "bathtub" that had a "distinct cracking" at Haway's home.

In a statement, Somers told the court: "I estimated the age of the child to be between 5 and 6 years of age.

"I also observed that the bathtub had distinct cracking of the molding at the wall and bathtub and that the adult female had a tattoo on her finger of a smiley face -two dots and a line."

A third video featuring the same girl and a man was also uncovered, the Bluefield Daily Telegraph reported but it is unclear if Peggs was the abuser in that clip.

Peggs admitted a child sex abuse charge last month and will be sentenced for his crimes on November 9.
