Lidl is set to open hundreds more supermarkets across the UK over the next four years – creating 4,000 new jobs.
After making almost £8billion in the last year alone, the German grocer has announced its 860 stores will increase to 1,100 by 2025.
As a result of the 240 extra supermarkets, around 4,000 new jobs at Lidl will be available up and down the country.
According to the Mirror, Lidl's accounts for the 12 months leading up to February 2021 show revenues jumped 12% to £7.7 billion and it turned a pre-tax profit of £9.8 million.
By comparison, the supermarket made a £25 million pre-tax loss the previous year.
