A stranger sexually assaulted a woman and cut off a strand of her hair as she was leaving a supermarket.
The victim was leaving Sainsbury's in Friar Street in Reading shortly before 4pm on Wednesday, July 7 when she was targeted by the man.
The man touched the woman over her clothing and she then challenged him before realising he had cut a strand of her hair and clothing, reports BerkshireLive.
The woman was not injured in the attack but it was a distressing incident in the middle of the day, reports Berkshire Live.
Thames Valley Police released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in relation to the alleged assault.
PC Sally Meineke of Thames Valley Police, said: "This incident occurred in the middle of the afternoon in a busy area of Reading.
“I am releasing these CCTV images of a man who I believe may have vital information about this incident.
"The victim was not injured in this incident, but naturally this was a distressing occurrence.
“Anybody who has any information, please get in touch with police.”
