The State Patrol is asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver who hit and killed a bicyclist in Larimer County overnight Wednesday, and a Medina Alert has been posted in the case.
The hit-and-run crash happened between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday near the 2200 block of North Shields Street about half a mile south of U.S. 287, according to the State Patrol. A man was found dead about 7:30 a.m. Thursday. A bicycle was nearby.
Investigators are seeking a gray 2009 or 2010 Toyota Rav4 or a similar SUV, according to a news release.
It is believed the vehicle will have heavy damage to the right front bumper and windshield, the release said.
