Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have vowed to a lifetime of service despite the Queen confirming the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not be returning as senior members of the Royal Family.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said the couple confirmed to The Queen they will not be returning to their positions and in turn, Prince Harry told Her Majesty it is "not possible" for him to continue with his duties.

Despite their decision, which a Palace spokesman said "saddened" the Royal Family, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have vowed to "live a life of service" to the world.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the couple said Meghan and Harry, who will welcome their second child later in 2021, "remain committed to their duty and service" to the U.K.
