A woman who used to date evil killer Jordan McSweeney believes she would "end up in a morgue" after her mum revealed McSweeney and her daughter's relationship.
Nicola West says daughter Samantha Bryan, 30, was haunted by McSweeney's murder of law graduate Zara Aleena, The Mirror reported.
Bryan had been in a relationship with McSweeney for four-and-a-half years with the 29-year-old killer, who admitted this week to having killed Aleena while she was walking home from a night out.
Killer McSweeney murdered the 35-year-old while she walked near her home in Ilford, east London, on June 26 this year.
Mum Nicola has since spoken of her terror that she may receive a "knock on the door" to tell her that her daughter was in the morgue.
She said: "Our hearts go out to Zara’s family. I cannot imagine the pain they’re going through. I used to be so scared this would happen to my daughter, I told her at the time I couldn’t sleep as I was afraid I’d get a knock on the door to tell me she was in a morgue.
"Jordan’s brain wasn’t wired right. I’m so relieved he’ll be off the streets."
Nicola alleged that McSweeney had been "beating" her daughter Samantha when she decided to call the family and make them aware.
The mum continued: "When we got there he was running up and down the stairs screaming and hitting her. He chased my son around a car with a knife. He was an evil lunatic even aged 16."
It has since emerged that McSweeney had 28 previous convictions for 69 offences, including assault.
Another ex of McSweeney, Stella Lowe, 22, called the convicted murderer a "psycho and twisted in the head" following Zara's murder.
Zara Aleena had been found in the early hours of the morning and was taken to hospital but died of her head injuries.
McSweeney will be sentenced on December 14.
