Four university students whose blood was left dripping through the walls after they were brutally stabbed to death at their home in Idaho, US were “likely asleep” as the attacker prowled around them.
The tragic victims, who were murdered in the early hours of Sunday morning (November 13) in one of the most gruesome crime scenes “ever seen” by cops, have sparked an urgent manhunt to find the beast responsible.
In an update yesterday (Friday, November 18), the Moscow Police Department said: “The Latah County Coroner confirmed the identity of the four murdered individuals and their cause and manner of death as homicide by stabbing.

“The coroner stated that the four victims were likely asleep, some had defensive wounds, and each was stabbed multiple times. There was no sign of sexual assault.”
Officials previously named the casualties as 20-year-old Ethan Chapin, 21-year-old Madison Mogen, 20-year-old Xana Kernodle and 21-year-old Kaylee Goncalves.
Cops said they are processing almost 500 tips that could help their investigation and 38 interviews have been carried out with people who may have useful information.
But they have not yet found the murder tool – thought to be an "edged weapon" – and had no suspects in custody at the time of their statement.

A chilling photo taken just before the senseless tragedy showed the four students stood together in the porch of a house with their arms around each other.
University President Scott Green said: "An event of this magnitude can understandably have significant impacts on those left behind. We must come together and lift each other up.
“We are all still working though our grief and a range of emotions. Compounding this is the frustration and concern that no one has been arrested for these crimes.
“Students, you are encouraged to do what is right for you. Whether this is going home early or staying in class, you have our support.”
