Prince Harry and Prince William need a "clip round the ear" to get them talking again, according to one royal expert.
The two brothers have reportedly drifted apart over the last couple of years and tensions between the princes are understood to exist.
It's tricky to pinpoint exactly why the brothers are not as close as they once were but Harry and Meghan's explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in April did not appear to help matters.
Now royal commentator Omid Scobie has opened a new can of worms by suggesting that none of the "senior royals" have stepped up to help heal the rift between Harry and William, reports Entertainment Daily.
Appearing on This Morning on Thursday to promote his newly updated royal book, Finding Freedom, Omid Scobie, put forward a theory about why the difficulties have not completely simmered.
The close friend of Harry and Meghan Markle said: “We have all experienced family squabbles and so on.
“But there is always a senior member of the family who clips you round the ear and pulls you all together and says ‘talk!'"
He added: “And I haven’t heard that from any source connected to the family that there has been someone who has played that role."

Omid suggested that there was one person who may have been able to bash the boys heads together.
“I’m sure if Diana was here today, that’s exactly what she would do. But I’ve certainly not heard that from any of the others,” he said.
Meanwhile, a clip of Prince Harry suggesting William was "jealous" of him serving in Afghanistan has resurfaced.

The 2013 clip was recently re-posted onto TikTok amid the ongoing alleged feud between the royal brothers.
In the unearthed clip, the Duke of Sussex kept his humour when he spoke of his disappointment at not having his brother by his side.
He told the reporter: "There is a bit of jealousy, not just the fact that I get to fly this [an Apache helicopter] but he'd love to be around here, I don't see why.
"To be honest, I don't see why he couldn't. His job out here would be flying the IRT [Immediate Response Team], or whatever, doing Chinook missions.
"Just the same as us. No one knows who's in the cockpit."
