The devastated mum of Olivia Pratt-Korbel gave a touching eulogy as crowds gathered to say "goodnight" to her daughter.
The funeral for the nine-year-old began today (September 15) at 11am at St Margaret Mary’s Church in Knotty Ash, Liverpool.
Olivia's heartbroken mother Cheryl Korbel was spotted arriving at the church carrying a teddy for her late daughter, while others wore pink in her memory.

Speaking at the service, the devastated mum tearfully remembered Olivia's short life.
"Liv touched so many people’s hearts and she was loved and adored by everyone. She will never be forgotten."
She revealed Olivia had been born six weeks early and spent nine days in a special baby unit – but was an independent soul from the moment she entered the world.
She said: "She was so small yet even as a newborn she had her own mind.
"Although she loved sparkle and glitz she would never go overboard and she was very particular, even down to her socks."
She added: "Olivia was very chatty and bubbly and would talk for England, to the point we thought she had Duracell batteries inside her somewhere."
Addressing Olivia herself, she finished the touching address by saying: "I will never say goodbye but what I will say is goodnight, love you, see you in the morning."
The family requested that grieving attendees wear a splash of pink in memory of the youngster, while pupils at Olivia's school next door, St Margaret Mary’s Junior School, will also wear the colour, LancsLive reports.
The colour scheme was inspired by a day when Olivia came into school wearing pink nail polish and hid her hands all day in an attempt to get away with breaking her uniform rules.

Headteacher of the school Rebecca Wilkinson said: “We were mindful of the fact that the children had to take some sort of role today, in spite of the fact that they’re not going to the church.
"We have got pink hearts in the windows facing the main road, we have got pink ribbons on the fence."
Olivia was killed when she was shot in her home in Dovecot, Liverpool, at about 10pm on 22 August.
A post-mortem confirmed that she had died of a gunshot wound to the chest.
The horror shooting, in which mum Cheryl Korbel was also injured, took place when two men, one of them convicted burglar Joseph Nee, charged into their family home in an armed chase.
In a statement following her murder, her family said they were "deprived of a real light in our lives".
Speaking publicly for the first time following her daughter's tragic death last month, Cheryl Korbel said: "Everyone she met, they all fell in love with her.
"She may well have only been nine but she packed a lot in to those nine years.
"She never, never stopped talking – and that's what I miss the most because I can't hear her talk."
So far nine arrests have been made in connection with the murder, including most recently a 37-year-old man who was taken into custody during a police raid in West Derby.
Merseyside Police said the man will be questioned by detectives.
However, despite the arrests, nobody has been charged in connection with Olivia's death.

The force is still appealing for anyone with information about the killing to come forward.
Detective Chief Superintendent and Head of Investigations, Mark Kameen, said: "I continue to urge anyone who has information that can help our investigation into Olivia’s tragic murder to please come forward so we can bring those responsible to justice.
"A number of people have been arrested in respect of this investigation. However, we still need the public’s help in ensuring that we can build a strong evidential picture so justice is served for Olivia and her family."
