A huge chunk of Britain's biggest supermarkets have been forced to apologise after delivering some very strange substitutions to customers in the Christmas dinner deliveries.
Customers of Asda, Sainsbury's and Morrisons have all taken to social media to vent their frustrations with their deliveries.
Tesco customers have also spoken of their outrage – but the shopping giant has yet to officially respond.
Directing their anger at the shopping giants, one shopper explained that their Christmas dinner centrepiece turkey had been replaced with cod, while another said they received chicken instead.
One customer tweeted Tesco, saying: “Thank you Tesco for charging us for our Xmas turkey, getting it into the van, then magically not appearing on our door even though it is on the receipt – and we paid for it.”
Another said: “Pretty frustrating for you to have seemingly missed an entire crate from our click and collect food shop.
“Guess that's me having to go in to store for a bunch of things.
“Oh and you charged me for them too.”
Asda customers were equally annoyed, reports The Mirror, as one asked “what's the point in putting an order in for a turkey in November when you get your delivery receipt today advising its out of stock?”
Another tweeted: “Just received my order meant to be guaranteed delivery Christmas food no turkey crown and no email to inform me of this.”
And the orange branded Sainsbury's also made a few mistakes over the last 48 hours, when one asked how they were going to make a Christmas dinner for five people “with a 300g cod fillet” instead of a turkey.

And another said: “Sainsbury's substituting my turkey food order – minor detail.
“Why let me order a turkey if don't have availability?
“Maybe notify no availability before morning of delivery?”
Morrisons didn't get off lightly, either, as one shopped said they were “absolutely gobsmacked” that their turkey was a chicken, and that their “gammon joint was missing”.

Tesco's social media department has been fighting many fires on Twitter, given the sheer amount of customer complaints it has received, but the Daily Star has contacted them for comment.
An Asda spokesman said: “This week we are delivering Christmas orders to over one million households across the country, and whilst we always try to make sure every delivery is perfect, delays or missing items can occasionally affect a small number of orders.
“We are picking up with those customers who didn’t receive a turkey as planned to try and get them one as soon as possible.”
And a Sainsbury's representative said that the issues were “isolated examples” that they were “looking into”.
And a Morrisons spokesman said: “We strive to do our best at Christmas.
“But on this occasion we did not get it right.
“We are currently contacting both customers to see what we can do for them.”
