Star Wars fanatic conned employer out of £1.3m and is on UKs most wanted list

A science-fiction fanatic who splurged on expensive Star Wars figurines after stealing money from her employer still owes the courts a whopping £1.3 million.

Julie Nickerson was jailed in May 2014 for her part in a husband and wife conspiracy to steal nearly £2.5m from her employer, a laundry equipment firm from Halifax, Yorkshire.

The criminal used stolen cash to fund a 'lavish lifestyle' with her husband, Anthony, and even coughed up £17,000 at auction for hordes of sci-fi costumes and toys.

Nickerson, who was 55 at the time, also purchased a house worth half a million pounds with the stolen cash, Examiner Live reported.

The Nickerson's also spent £200,000 on holidays as well as spending £86,000 on their Prestige credit cards.

Now, it has been revealed that Julie Nickerson, who remains the most wanted woman in Yorkshire, is yet to repay the full cost to the courts and still owes a staggering £1.3m.

Appearing on Crimestoppers' Most Wanted list, the exact amount that Nickerson still owes is £1,309,157.40.
