‘Tragic’ Harry ‘unrecognisable from man he was’ before LA move, says biographer

Prince Harry is now 'unrecognisable' from the person he was as a senior royal, his royal biographer has claimed.

Author Angela Levin issued a series of attacks on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after the pair's explosive interviews in which the prince distanced himself from the Windsors.

The commentator was responding to royal author Robert Jobson, who tweeted Harry's poignant 2017 quote about his father "going through the same grieving process" after the death of Princess Diana.

The veteran royal commentator wrote: "Harry is unrecognisable from the man he was. Tragic."

Prince Harry has criticised the mainstream media and self-styled royal experts like Levin and Jobson for painting dishonest pictures of life as a royal.

He has talked about the mental health toll of royal family service and claimed there is a culture of neglect among senior members of the family.

Levin interviewed the prince for her book 'Harry: Conversations with the Prince', before he departed the family.

She has since repeatedly said Harry has been ungrateful and rude toward the royals, appearing on breakfast TV in the wake of his bombshell appearance on podcast Armchair Expert.

Harry said life in the royal family resembled a mixture of The Truman Show and being in a "zoo".

Levin told Good Morning Britain the prince came across "a bit phoney", and said she was "cringing" at the appearance.

The royal biographer has more than 10,000 Twitter followers, commenting frequently on the latest royal stories and conservative political issues.

She recently said Harry had become a "woke lecturing celebrity" in thrall to Meghan's "threat to commit suicide".

It doesn't look like Harry will be sitting down with Levin for another book any time soon, which might explain the recent attacks on the prince and his wife.

Commenting on the recent Dyson investigation into the BBC's mishandling of the famous 1997 interview with Princess Diana, Levin said the princes' lives might have been very different had Diana not felt so "insecure".

She added: "The BBC has lost its integrity."
