These hilarious snaps reveal Britain's most destructive pets next to ruined carpets, pillows and floors.

Three-year-old Cocker Spaniel Samuel was voted the worst after spilling a pot of blue paint all over a cream carpet.

The naughty pup joined a 15-strong rogues' gallery of bad kitties and a pot-smashing tortoise compiled by the ScS furniture retailer.

They were deemed the country's most destructive after more than 100 unforgivable entries were submitted into its competition.

Samuel won his owner Zara Angelova, of Canterbury, Kent, a brand new Lucy 3 Seater Sofa after his attempt to help out with home decorating went disastrously wrong.

Her snap showed him looking guilty after knocking over a pot of paint at the top of the staircase and completely destroying the cream carpet.

Second place went to Bella, a three-year-old Pomeranian from Birmingham.

Bella went on a rampage and left owner Kelly McIntyre's pillow in tatters and her walls needing significant repairs – but her menacing snarl showed she has no regrets.

Next up were two and three-year-old pug-crosses Riley and Teddy from Exeter.

Owner Lisa Williams arrived home one day to catch her dogs ripping apart her best cushions – but they still looked adorable.

Loki the four-year-old Newfoundland came in 11th for wrecking owner Theresa Thomas's conservatory.

The bad dog left a huge mess after eating the plants and then chewing the sofa at his home in Rotherham, South Yorks.

He was followed by five-year-old Staffordshire Terrier Nemo, who dug himself into a real hole after tearing up lino flooring.

Owner Gary Wilson from Preston had gone out for a few hours before coming home and finding Nemo looking rather sheepish.

Other in the hall of shame included Dora the one-year-old British Blue cat who scratched the sofa so much that the stuffing started to come out.

Owner Rebecca James from Eastbourne, East Sussex, said that although her moggy looks sweet, she’s actually quite a diva.

Lord Timothy Sheldrake the 20-year-old Leopard Tortoise left his owner Tara Clover shell-shocked after smashing her best plant pot.

Tara , of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, said there was no quick getaway from this crime.
