One of Europe’s most wanted pimps was caught living in the middle of Manchester – and told cops “I’m tired of running” as she was arrested.
Sick Romanian trafficker Ildiko Enderle – who once sold a 15-year-old for sex – was snared after a huge Interpol hunt after five years on the run.
She was confronted in her native tongue by a Romanian cop embedded with Greater Manchester Police.
Enderle, 43, was wanted for trafficking young Czech and Romanian women by promising them a job, food and accommodation in Germany.
Instead they were trafficked to the Czech Republic where they were forced to work as prostitutes in a nightclub called Lady Bar 69.
She had four European arrest warrants to her name when police finally caught in Manchester.
When Supt George Safta, 40, confronted Enderle in her native tongue she tried to give a false name and date of birth.
But when he presented her mugshot and details to her using the Europol site, she finally gave in and said: “I’m tired of running.”
George says it was pure luck that he was working in Manchester at the time.
He told the Manchester Evening News: “When we first entered the house she gave me the wrong name but her picture had popped up in our system and on TV because she was one of the most wanted.
“I said this to her. When she gave us the false date of birth and I checked with my colleagues back in Romania, I knew it was her.
“She said she was relieved the police found her because she didn’t look very good – very tired and thin.
“She was relieved we had finally got her and became more relaxed.
“She had a really good life here. She was trying to mingle and was even working. They had a big three-bed terraced house.
“She was driving a car here too. If she was stopped she would give false details and because of that nobody could have known she was wanted.”
After she was deported from the UK, a Romanian court caged Enderle for least six years.
