Elon Musk has alleged the United States may have needed to rely on Russia if they did not have him financing space travel experiments. <\/p>\n
The billionaire owner of SpaceX and Tesla alluded to the possibility of the US needing other countries for help if they did not have him working on Starlink and other explorations .<\/p>\n
A tweet hitting out at criticism of Musk caught the X owner's attention, with a simple reply to how he sees space travel in the US.<\/p>\n

If it were not for SpaceX, one user alleged, there would be "no Starlink" and a dependence on Russia for space launches, a claim Elon Musk agrees with.<\/p>\n

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, user Warren Redlich claimed: "If Elon didn\u2019t control SpaceX, there would be no SpaceX.<\/p>\n
"The US would still be dependent on Russia for space launches. There\u2019s [sic] would be no Starlink to activate or deactivate."<\/p>\n
Musk seemed fairly pleased with the explanation, responding "correct" to the Twitter user, implying that without his hand in the space race, the US would still be reliant on the Russian space program. <\/p>\n
The Daily Star previously reported Musk's intervention with the Starlink satellites, which blocked Ukraine from launching a missile attack on Russia.<\/p>\n
