A bigamist facing jail for living a double life with two women and their families has allegedly 'proposed to another woman', his friends claim.

Divorcee Jason Hayter, of Norwich, had two separate families with two different women at the same time and could face up to seven years in jail for bigamy, but may be reduced due to his guilty plea, after his daughter from an earlier marriage dobbed him in.

The 48-year-old veteran soldier has admitted marrying for a third time and starting a family without having divorced his second wife, both of whom he met on dating websites – and now friends claim he's proposed to yet another woman, reports Mail Online.

He was caught out when his daughter from the later marriage messaged his earlier wife Tracey Larkcombe, who he married in 2010, on Facebook and started asking questions.

Sara Hayter, his second wife who he married in April 2016, then contacted police after learning he had never been divorced from Tracey.

Teresa Fortune, his first wife, has since come forward to say he led a double life with her too. Mrs Fortune, 53, spoke of odd behaviour from her ex-husband who would get calls from other women who would slam the phone down when she answered.

Recently a fourth woman posted photos on her Facebook account of her cuddling up to the ex-soldier and showing off a sparkler on her ring finger, but has insisted the relationship is over following recent publicity surrounding her ex-fiancé.

She also denied being engaged to him – despite stating herself he had accepted a marriage proposal on her Facebook page.

Speaking to the Mail, one unnamed friend said: "She knew he was still married but maybe she didn’t know it was to more than one person and that he was looking at time behind bars. I didn’t know about that.

"If she does stick with him it’ll obviously be a while before they can get married."

Committing the case to be sentenced at Norwich Crown Court next month after magistrates said it was a "very complicated case".

Prosecutor Sally Harris said Hayter had met both women on dating websites in 2008 and 2010, shortly before being posted to Germany with the army.

He married Mrs Larkcombe in 2010 when she was pregnant with their first child and they had a second child together in 2015. After getting married, he took his wife's surname, becoming Jason Larkcombe.

However, his complicated love life saw him simultaneously exchanging messages and visits with Mrs Hayter. They had their first child in 2014.

Following their marriage ceremony in 2016 they also had twins in 2018 before his previous marriage came to light. Appearing in court in a wheelchair, Hayter, of Kirby Cross near Frinton-on-Sea in Essex, pleaded guilty to bigamy.

Magistrates were told the offence carries a maximum sentence of seven years but its rarity meant there are no sentencing guidelines.

Mrs Harris said the impact on Hayter's two families had been "very significant" and had been aggravated by it continuing over a long period with an overlap in the relationships and that five children were involved.
