The UK’s best beach has been crowned – but getting there represents a challenge for budding tourists.<\/p>\n
Par Beach\u00a0on St Martin’s, one of the Isles of Scilly, has been described as the UK’s answer to the Caribbean after being ranked as the best beach to visit in the country.<\/p>\n
Naming it the best beach in the country, The Telegraph’s Chris Leadbeater wrote: “I tripped over it during the pandemic, in that time when we were all meant to be discovering our own country.<\/p>\n
“And it did feel like a discovery, as I approached by water \u2013 and found myself staring besotted at this largely unadorned crescent, with its little jetty and handful of rowing boats.<\/p>\n
“Here was the social distancing we were meant to seek in the Covid days \u2013 but during my couple of hours next to that beach, the world\u2019s worries felt very far away.”<\/p>\n
