According to a media report, the Ferrari 296 GTB has managed to clock one of the fastest acceleration times among RWD supercars. The 296 GTB beat the likes of the McLaren Artura & Lamborghini Huracan STO after recording a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time of just 2.4 seconds.

Reports state that only a couple of cars, such as the McMurtry Spierling and Dodge SRT Demon 170 have faster acceleration times. However, they can’t be labelled as ‘production cars’, like the Ferrari.

The Ferrari 296 GTB comes powered by a mid-engined hybrid V6 powertrain, producing 819 BHP. The Italian supercar runs on ultra-sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tyres.

Reports also state that the 296 GTB further beats its rivals while accelerating to 100 mph, which takes just 4.7 seconds. Another impressive figure noted is the car’s stopping distance. As per reports, the 296 GTB comes to a dead stop from 70 mph in just 130 feet. This is thanks to the supercar’s carbon ceramic brakes.
