In 2021, physicist Mark Buchanan claimed that contacting aliens would be dangerous, and advised not to do it.<\/p>\n<p>And this week, speaking to Salon, Dr Marchis shed some light on just how dangerous it could be \u2013 in short, very. And the space agency even appointed someone whose sole job it is is to take on the task of alien hunting.<\/p>\n<p>However, Dr. Steve Desch, an astrophysics professor at Arizona State University, United States, cast doubt on any of it actually working \u2013 and that if it did, that aliens would be an enemy of Earth.
