<\/p>\nBoozed-up blokes stumbling out of a strip club have been slammed as "aggressive stags during breeding" by a resident wanting the raunchy venue to shut its doors for good. <\/p>\n
A campaigner in Bournemouth has been attempting to rally people against dancing clubs in order to have them closed by the council for the sake of the town. Applications are being argued in light of the antisocial behaviour accusations.<\/p>\n
Susan Stockwell spoke to Bournemouth Echo about her aim to stop these establishments. The 60-year-old woman has been campaigning against several establishments in the area.<\/p>\n

Susan says she noticed that customers leaving the strip clubs in Bournemouth are \u201call riled up\u201d and causing disruption to the otherwise calm area. She says they are \u201ccausing a nuisance\u201d after their experience inside the clubs.<\/p>\n

She also said \u201cThere\u2019s something happening to people when they go into a strip club because they come out and there\u2019s violence – and that\u2019s between men, not just sexual violence.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you go to the Arne Nature Reserve over on the Purbecks, they have signs up at certain times of the year saying beware of the stags, because it\u2019s breeding season for them, so they become aggressive.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thought to myself, that\u2019s what has been happening when someone pays for a dance in a strip club. They\u2019re in the position of the stag, and they get all worked up.\u201d<\/p>\n
Susan has campaigned against several erotic clubs in the area, but is particularly focusing her attention on a club called FYEO in Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth. It recently requested to extend its license for another 12 months, but Susan has been attempting to get it rejected.<\/p>\n

Despite her efforts, the council extended the club\u2019s license for another 12 months on the 1st November, meaning it will continue to operate.<\/p>\n
Susan claimed that she felt unsafe in her area due to the strip club\u2019s presence. She said that her town should be \u201csafe to walk around at any time, for anyone\u201d.<\/p>\n
She continued \u201cIt\u2019s a seaside town. We should have a vibrant and safe night time economy, and I just don\u2019t see that happening in Bournemouth.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut people shouldn\u2019t give up on the town centre \u2013 there needs to be a feeling that it's worth fighting for.\u201d<\/p>\n
