A Fast and Furious-style thief who was in a gang that stole six cars including a Jag and a BMW in a 34-minute spree has been jailed for five years.<\/p>\n

Garry Myles, 20, admitted a slew of charges which included theft by housebreakings, theft of motor vehicles, theft of tools from within vehicles and a serious assault. The Courier reported that he helped raid garages to steal high value cars.<\/p>\n

Myles pleaded guilty to the offences on Friday, 10 November, and returned to Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday, 16 November, where he received a combined sentence of five years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The former apprentice joiner also admitted glassing a love rival in front of his children. The thug did so beside a soft play area in a bar and bragged he \u201cglassed the f**k out of some c**t,\u201d the Courier reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was with my kids. He deserved it," he reportedly said. Myles reportedly pushed him over a table, struck him several times on the head with a glass tumbler and threw a glass at him as he walked off.<\/p>\n

As well as stealing a whole host of luxury vehicles, the thug also admitted using a stolen Vauxhall Corsa to ram the glass double doors at a service garage before stealing \u00a330 in cash.<\/p>\n

Detective Constable David Fearn said: \u201cAcquisitive crime can have a real impact on members of the public and I hope this outcome sends a clear message that it will not be tolerated in our community.<\/p>\n
