Reynisfjara Beach in Iceland was recently named the best beach in the world by Tripadvisor. But the volcanic black sand beach can be extremely dangerous.

In the video posted by Reddit user ‘Two_Inches_Of_Fun’, the four tourists appear to approach the water in order to take a photo in front of the waves.

However, a wave quickly comes and knocks two of the tourists to the ground. The pair struggle to get out of the water.

Luckily, the tourists all made it out of the water but it was an extremely dangerous situation to be in.

Visit Iceland warns: “Sneaker waves make Reynisfjara Beach one of the most dangerous destinations in Iceland.”
