Today, the city is a bustling tourist hub with a range of beaches, bays, and museums to visit.

Among the famous natural sights are the Parco Naturale Monte San Bartolo, the Castello di Fiorenzuola di Focara, and the Bagni Ciro di Pazzaglini Michela beach.

What’s more, it’s the perfect place to go if you want to escape Brits abroad and instead it’s mainly Italians who holiday here. One reviewer said: “We didn’t see one non-Italian tourist–which, after Venice, Rome and Florence, was really nice. Italians of all ages. Great place!”

Even if you’re not a fan of sunbathing on the sand or walking through natural parks, there’s still plenty of things to see and do.

If you like motorbikes, there is an entire museum dedicated to the Benelli motorbike brand. One visitor wrote on TripAdvisor: “Our trip to the Museo Benelli was one of the unforeseen highlights of our trip. We thought we would drop by and see a couple of motorcycles but instead, we found ourselves in the midst of motorcycle and Pesaro history.”

Another popular spot is the Sfera Grande di Pomodoro, a famous monument near the sea.

On this, one tourist said: “The square with the Pomodoro sculpture is truly special. It is not a monument for which one arrives in Pesaro from afar. But if you are in Pesaro it is a kind of must.”
