A tiny medieval town in the north of Italy has all the charms of nearby Bologna without any of the annoying crowds.<\/p>\n
Brisighella is a beautiful hidden town in the province of Ravenna that sits on the Lamone River.<\/p>\n
It is a member of the I Borghi piu belli d\u2019Italia Association, which celebrates the prettiest small towns in the country with strong historical and artistic interest.<\/p>\n
The town has been called “prettier than Bologna”, a beautiful city about an hour’s drive to the northwest.<\/p>\n
Brisighella\u2019s silhouette is defined by three hills which are home to historic monuments – the 14th-century Rocca Manfrediana fortress, the 18th-century Sanctuary of Our Lady of Monticino and the 19th-century clock tower.<\/p>\n
