The EU-spec Citroen eC3 is based on Stellantis’ Smart Car Platform.
Citroen has revealed the eC3 electric hatchback for the European market. As you would agree it looks a lot different compared to the eC3 sold in India.
The EU-spec Citroen eC3 is based on Stellantis’ Smart Car Platform and features a completely different look inspired by the Oli Concept. It has a more angular front facia with the brand’s new logo in the centre. The V-shaped LED headlights have new three-piece LED daytime running lights.
The rear of the new eC3 looks a bit more conventional, with wraparound LED taillights connected by a black strip. The interior of the car has also been updated. The redesigned dashboard has a simple layered design with a 10.25-inch touchscreen in the centre. The car comes with a quirky-looking steering wheel and the new Citroen Head Up Display.
The Citroen eC3 comes with a single electric motor that powers the front axle. It produces 111 BHP allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 11 seconds. It has a top speed of 135 km/h.
The eC3 uses a 44 kWh lithium-ion battery offering a maximum range of 320 km (WLTP cycle). It supports 100 kW DC charging, which takes just 26 minutes to charge the battery from 20-80%. A 7 kW AC charger does the same job in 4 hours 10 minutes.
