This was the last bit of our recent trip. We had gone along to Triberg in the Black Forest because we wanted to visit the pretty little town and buy a Cuckoo Clock as a gift from there for a family member.
We based ourselves in Baden-Baden which used to be a famous and fashionable Spa town in the 1800’s and 1900’s. Like Bath in England and Spa in Belgium. Today it is a town largely composed of well-to-do, retired folk who live there and the tourists/ travellers who form the floating population.
Anyway, when we were there, there was a classic car gathering and we got to see and enjoy quite a few of those beauties just walking about and sitting by the sidewalk in a cafe!
There are a number of such Classic Car events year-round, in Baden-Baden.
Truly, some of the cars we saw there, were simply gorgeous classics. The owners were “dressed on-point” and what warms the heart is the effort that they make, to bring that whole classic and vintage ambience alive.
The cars ranged from a Fiat Balilla to an MG TC, a lovely Lancia, and the Mighty Mercedes BMW and Porsche! We didn’t catch the whole event, but what we caught, is here!
Enjoy the view! There are only a few photos, but they are a feast for the eyes.
