Is there anywhere more British than Benidorm? It might be in Spain but the popular beach resort has enough chippys and pubs to convince you otherwise.
The resort was even named the most ‘British’ place in Spain in one ranking due to the high number of expats and British themed pubs and restaurants.
In 2022, Benidorm was Spain’s third most visited resort and the majority of tourists are from the UK. But when’s the cheapest time to fly to Benidorm?
While Benidorm doesn’t have its own airport, it’s around 40 minutes drive from Alicante Airport which serves several Costa Blanca resorts.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, January and February were the cheapest months of the year to jet off to Benidorm.
I found return flights for under £50 in January from London, Manchester, Belfast, Bristol, Liverpool, Exeter, Newquay, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Leeds, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Glasgow.
In February, it was a similar story with tons of return flight options coming in at under £50 per person. Bear in mind, passengers will often have to pay for hold luggage on budget airlines.

It might not be at its warmest but Benidorm still enjoys mild temperatures during January and February. The temperature can be as high as 15 degrees in January.
While some hotels and restaurants will close for the winter season, tourists who don’t mind a quieter break could pick up a great bargain on accommodation.
As Benidorm has a sizeable expat population, the town is still busy during winter with a packed calendar of events.

Although flights were more expensive during peak summer season, there are still bargains on offer.
I found return flights for under £100 from Bristol, London, Bournemouth, Nottingham, Birmingham, Durham and Manchester in July.
