Denver police have arrested a man suspected of shooting four people in Five Points in August, with two people dead and two others injured.

Tyrell Braxton, 24, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of first-degree murder and first-degree assault in connection with the shooting near 28th and Welton streets at 3:50 a.m. Aug. 19, the Denver Police Department announced Wednesday.

Police initially reported three victims in the shooting, including Gulian Musiwa, 25, who died at the scene; Lumumba Sayers Jr., 23, who died later at the hospital; and a third injured person. The department included a fourth injured victim in Wednesdayโ€™s announcement.

Department officials credited anonymous tips and investigative work in identifying Braxton as the suspect, who police first identified on Aug. 24.
