Former WWE star Eva Marie has claimed she was the company's highest paid female star and sets her sights on a return to the brand.
The star took to X, formerly Twitter, and cheekily considered whether the company could "afford" to bring her back into the squared circle. A brief return to the ring between 2020 and 2021 was the last time wrestling fans saw her in WWE.
Since then the professional wrestler has taken to the likes of Celebrity Big Brother and other reality television shows, but may be tempted with a return to the squared circle.

Despite questioning who could afford to sign her to a contract, be it a return to WWE or another wrestling brand like AEW, Eva could be returning to the ring. It is also unclear whether or not her highest paid statement is true or not.
Taking to X, she wrote: "As the highest paid Female WWE Superstar, my contract could only activate after a series of talent releases in order to free up the capital to cover my contract. But I am down.
"Who should WWE cut in order to afford bringing me back?". Whether Eva Marie is series about her contract status and the release of other roster members is yet to be confirmed.
Wrestling fans were not best pleased about the statement, with a mixed response to the comments from Eva. One wrote: "Kinda messed up asking for names to be fired even if itโs kayfabe."
Another seemed desperate for the star to return to the ring though, writing: "I speak for everyone when I say we need you back." Some were less than impressed with a potential return to the ring for Eva Marie, though.
But the room is somewhat split on a return for Eva, with many members of X seemingly excited by the prospect of a big return, though not at the expense of other roster members. One user wrote: "Sorry Eva but I don't want to see you back if it means someone gets released."
