A model had a lucky escape after a "photoshoot gone wrong" saw her swept away in a massive wave as emergency services rushed to the scene.
The model, Kate Loshkareva, who goes by "Russian Kate" on Instagram, said she was trying to act like supermodel Bella Hadid but "ended up like Jack from Titanic" after she was hit by the wave and pulled out to sea in Palos Verdes, California, in September.
"Got swept into a current and almost drowned lol" she cheerily shared on Instagram on November 11, despite the seriousness of the situation being made abundantly clear in an accompanying video.

Kate is seen posing in a long blue dress before she is surprised by a large swell and loses her balance before falling off the rocks and into the water. She tries to cling onto the rocks but disappears from sight.
"Photoshoot gone wrong!!" her friend Shayla Welch wrote on Instagram, adding: "On September 10th, Kate and I went to do a photoshoot in Palos verdes, CA with @araizeus.
"Everything was going great. We were at the end of the photoshoot when Kate decided to take some aesthetic photos closer to the water."
Shayla then described how Kate was saved when she was sucked into a nearby cave.

She explained: "Up to this point, there were no big sets, the water was calm! She crawled down and right away a big wave comes behind her, sweeps her in.. luckily it pushed her directly into the cave.
"We didn’t see or hear from Kate for several minutes and thought she had got her dress stuck or pushed out to shore. I stopped filming at this point and people had told me to get back and not jump in."
The friend explained that police were called and a helicopter came to the scene before Kate emerged unharmed.
She said: "Kate crawled her way out of the cave totally unharmed. Minor scratches. Scary but a great lesson was learned that day!!"
