A heartbreaking picture has emerged of a child hiding in terror as Hamas terrorists went door to door butchering Israeli families on October 7.
On that fateful day, which Israel has dubbed “our 911”, Hamas terrorists stormed out of the blockaded Gaza Strip into nearby Israeli towns, slaughtering scores of Israelis and abducting others in an unprecedented surprise attack during a major Jewish holiday.
The sheer brutality that was visited upon innocent Israelis shocked the world and has put Israel on a war footing ever since as it pounds Gaza with relentless air strikes ahead of a ground invasion.
With the conflict now threatening to spill out into the wider region, it’s easy to forget the lives that were affected on Oct 7.
Horror stories continue to bring home the tragedy.
One such story, posted on Israel’s official X account, describes the trauma one young girl is still experiencing more than three weeks on from the event.
In an accompanying picture, the unnamed eight-year-old lies face down under a storage unit in her house.
The description reads: “This little eight-year-old girl can only fall asleep by hiding in a storage unit for linen.
“Thatโs how she and her younger brother survived for hours during the Hamas massacre when terrorists went door to door in Kibbutz Alumim murdering entire Israeli families.”

More than 5,000 Palestinians, including some 2,000 minors and around 1,100 women, have been killed, Ashraf al-Qidra, a spokesman for the Hamas-run Health Ministry, said Monday.
That includes the disputed toll from an explosion at a hospital last week.
This is the deadliest by far of five wars fought between Israel and Hamas in less than 15 years.
