Killer ‘lived for kids’ online but was hiding a dark secret that led to murder

Killer Natalie Bennett looked like just another devoted mum and partner to her friends and family on social media.

Little did they know, the 47-year-old woman was capable of a brutal murder. Bennett was convicted of the murder of boyfriend Kasey Anderson, 25, and was jailed for life with a minimum term of 18 years following a trial at Liverpool Crown Court.

In the years leading up to the gruesome event, Bennett presented a very different version of herself and shared hundreds of Facebook posts of her seemingly normal family life. In the posts she can be seen celebrating Mother's Day and playing in the snow with her children while praising Anderson, the man she would later murder.

According to the Liverpool ECHO, in one post from 2018, Bennett said: "Happy birthday 2 my little man 14 years ago u came in 2 my life an god kido ur not just my son ur my best mate I love u mate an ur dad duz as well have a boss day Lil man loads of love kisses an hug love u mate [sic]."

Later on that year Bennett can be seen posing for a picture with her daughter, with a Snapchat filter of bear ears over the top of it. She captioned the post "me and my baby" followed by a series of love heart emojis.

Also on Facebook, the killer shared a meme that read: "My children are the reason that I smile, that I laugh, that I cry, my happy place, my frustration, they are what makes my heart beat and sometimes break. My children are my everything."

Anderson was stabbed to death a week before his 25th birthday in March this year. Nearly twice his age, Bennett plunged a knife into his heart before attempting to stab him in the head as he lay gravely injured in a neighbour's driveway and pleading for help, telling a 999 call handler that "he was dying".

During the trial, it was revealed that the killer lived a "chaotic lifestyle" and although she got on with Anderson when they were sober according to her defence, the nature of their relationship changed under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The killer was also said to have been diagnosed with conditions including a personality disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Bennettโ€™s neighbour had revealed Ring doorbell camera footage showing Anderson clutching his chest after he had been stabbed in the heart and collapsing to the floor as he called for help, having seemingly tried to flee from his attacker.

The mum-of-four was blasted by Richard Pratt, prosecuting, after she "deliberately set about discrediting" the deceased. Bennett showed no reaction as she was handed a life imprisonment term and seemed to show defiance when she put her thumb up to her dad in the public gallery.
