Paramedic’s frantic last message to sister as Hamas terrorists storm surgery

An Israeli paramedic sent a frantic last message to her sister as Hamas terrorists began to storm the clinic where she worked has emerged.

Over 100 bodies have been recovered from the small Israeli farming community of Be’eri Kibbutz near the Gaza Strip which was overrun by Hamas terrorists on Saturday (October 7).

Paramedic, Amit Man, 22, was hiding inside a clinic in the settlement for six hours with people wounded in the attack.

Her sister, Haviva, posted screenshots on Facebook of her correspondence with Amit in which she asked for updates about when the Israeli army would retake the village.

Amit’s last message was sent at about 2pm. She wrote: “They are here. I don’t think I’ll make it out of here. Please be strong if something happens to me.”

In the hours after Hamas smashed through Israel’s heavily fortified border fence and crossed into the country from Gaza, Ahal Besorai tried desperately to reach his sister, but there was no answer.

He learned from witnesses that militants had seized his sister, her husband and their teenage son and daughter, along with dozens of others.

Mr Besorai, who grew up in Be’eri, said: “Should I cry because they are dead already? Should I be happy because maybe they are captured but still alive?

“I pray to God every day that she will be found alive with her family and we can all be reunited.”

Israel is striking back with missile attacks on targets in Gaza, leaving hostages’ families grappling with the knowledge it could come at the cost of their loved ones’ lives.

Hamas threatens to execute Israeli hostages and broadcast killings[LATEST]

Hamas has vowed to kill one of the 130 hostages every time Israel bombs civilian targets in Gaza without warning.

Eli Elbag said he woke up on Saturday to text messages from his daughter, Liri, 18, who’d just began her military training as an army lookout at the Gaza border.

She wrote that militants were shooting at her, but within minutes the messages stopped.

By nightfall, a video circulated by Hamas showed her crowded inside an Israeli military truck taken by militants. The face of a hostage next to Liri was marred and bloodied.

Israeli Foreign Minister, Eli Cohen, has said his country is committed to bringing the hostages home and issued a warning to Hamas, which controls Gaza.

He said: “We demand Hamas not to harm any of the hostages. This war crime will not be forgiven.”

Hamas has also said it is seeking the release of all 4,500 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails in exchange for the hostages, according to Israeli human rights group B’Tselem.

Tomer Neumann, whose cousin Rotem, 25, was attending a music festival near the Gaza border and has since vanished, said the family only have bits of information.

Mr Neumann added: “What now is on my mind is not war and is not bombing. All we want is to know where Rotem is and to know what happened to her and we want peace.”
