A bare-knuckle boxer who punched a vulnerable 78-year-old man in the face has been revealed as a member of a notorious travelling family as he was jailed.
Douglas 'Dougie' Joyce was caged yesterday (Friday, November 10) after CCTV footage showed him utilising his fighting skills to unleash a horrifying assault on the elderly gentleman.
The shocking video evidence shows the two men arguing in the back room of a pub, when suddenly, the 35-year-old stands up and throws a brutal left hook. Gold ring-wearing Joyce threw several more shots, leaving the pensioner begging for the assault to stop.

The convict's family are one of the most well-known in the travelling community. In a recent programme, 'The Joyce Family Documentary', which was available to stream via Amazon, the world got an insight into what their life is really like.
The bare-knuckle fighter even intended to turn up to his own £60,000 wedding via helicopter. However, he was left bitterly disappointed when the venue refused to let him land the aircraft in their car park.
Regardless, Joyce went ahead with the ceremony, tying the knot in a luxurious setting at Gorton Monastery in Manchester, featuring four Rolls Royces and a £12,000 Calla Blanche dress. Joyce even turned down a role in 'My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.'
He proceeded to post the footage to his YouTube, which he usually uses to showcase his expensive cars, respond to call-out videos and promote his fighting organisation — 3D Fight Club.
His business has blended bare-knuckle boxing, traditional boxing and MMA, in a bid to prove that his number one sport isn't barbaric.
The horrifying clip of the attack that landed him in jail showed the pensioner bleeding, and pleading for him to stop.
After the first wave of attack, Joyce encouraged his father to join in, and the two men stood over the victim. Despite bystanders attempting to intervene, the threats continued.
The video then propels forward. Now, Joyce and his victim are standing up arguing, before things turn violent once more. Joyce throws another devastating left hook, sending the elderly man tumbling over chairs and crashing to the ground.
Joyce was jailed at Manchester Crown Court after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm over the attack which took place at around 10pm on October 23, 2022.
Following the result of the trial, Detective Constable Natalie Hollows claimed: "Joyce is an aggressive and violent man who intended to intimidate and inflict pain on a vulnerable 78-year-old man by carrying out this horrendous assault.

"Joyce was wearing a large gold pyramid-style ring when he punched the man in the face, causing him significant injury due to the size and shape accelerated by force and the series of punches he endured.
"I'm glad Joyce will now face time behind bars as punishment for his actions and hope he takes this time to reflect on the impact of his actions."
His father, 63-year-old John, who was also involved in the incident, received an 18-month community order for assault, causing occasioning actual bodily harm.
