A former 9/11 conspiracy theorist has debunked a bizarre myth about the collapse of the Twin Towers.
The world watched in horror on September 11, 2001, as a pair of planes crashed into the World Trade Centre in New York in a series of terror attack co-ordinated by Al-Qaeda.
But as the US mourned the losses, some people came up with strange theories about the attacks โ including that it was an "inside job" brought about by controlled demolitions.

But one ex-"truther", who believed in the speculation for 15 years, has rubbished the rumour with an incredible snap.
"I was a believer of the 9/11 inside job conspiracy theory for 15 years. It was my gateway to the rabbit hole. Thankfully, today, I am now an ex-truther," Brent Lee posted to X (formerly Twitter).
"This picture clearly shows the core of WTC (World Trade Centre) 1&2. This picture is one that no 9/11 conspiracist will show you because it destroys their argument.
"You can see quite clearly that there would have been no controlled demolitions needed for it to collapse.

US fighter pilots went on 9/11 kamikaze mission to crash into hijacked plane
"Do all the mental gymnastics you want, but the truth is simple. A plane flew into each building. The impact, explosion, and fire weakened the core. The weight of the floors above the impact zone buckled the steel. And it all came down.
"No mystery. No inside job. Stop believing fantasies and wake up!"
Fellow users were quick to chime in with their own thoughts, with one agreeing: "Welcome back to the real world."
Meanwhile another chimed in: "You just gained a follow from me. It takes a lot of integrity to re-examine deeply held beliefs and acknowledge when you have it wrong."
Today marks 22 years since the attacks, which also saw a plane crashed into the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia, while a fourth aircraft crashed in rural Pennsylvania.
The coordinated incidents killed nearly 3,000 people and were the catalyst for the war on terror, a global military campaign that spanned several wars in the years that followed.
One survivor of the attack previously described the terrifying moment he escape as the New York skyscrapers came down.
Pasquale Buzzelli, who fell more than 15 storeys after the North Trade Centre fell, was one of only 16 people to survive the building's collapse.
Talking to internet personality Joe Budden on his YouTube channel, Buzzelli said of his ordeal: "I curled up and tried to make myself as small as possible in the corner there thinking whateverโs falling through there was nothing to protect me other than the floor below me, and the two walls that I can get into a corner on, so I just kind of curled up.
"I was getting knocked around in the head, my back. I just stayed tucked in. This is all happening quick. All those thoughts are going through my head and then I see one big boom."
Miraculously, he made it out unscathed apart from several minor burns and a broken bone in one foot.
