Iran planning to send devastating ballistic missiles to Russia

Iran unveils highly advanced hypersonic missiles

Russia is looking to source short-range ballistic missiles and devastating glide bombs from Iran, according to the White House.

US National Security Council Spokesperson John Kirby delivered the assessment on November 21.

The US-based think tank the Institute for the Study of War has observed Russian forces increasingly using glide bombs in Ukraine.

Iran has been supplying Russia with Shahed kamikaze drones despite ongoing efforts by Moscow to develop a domestic manufacturing hub.

The ISW report stated: “Iran presented several glide bomb variants at the Russian Army-2023 Forum in Moscow in August 2023 and possibly during Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoiguโ€™s visit to Tehran in September 2023. Kirby added that Iran also continues to supply Russia with drones and artillery ammunition.”
